Free sign maker for any short message
This is the catch-all for a printable sign: type a line or two and the tool sizes the words as large as they fit on the page. Use it for a garage sale, a "Please knock," a parking notice, a room reservation, or any short message that needs to read across a room. The headline auto-fits, so you never fiddle with font sizes.
For anything with real branding, a design app gives more control. For a sign you need in the next minute, typing a line here and printing is faster.
Using the tool
Type the main line in "Sign text." Add a smaller second line if you want one. Choose portrait or landscape — landscape suits a few short words, portrait suits a taller message — and turn the border on or off. The preview updates as you type; click Download PDF when it looks right.
Printing it full size
- Print at 100% scale.
In the print dialog — the window that opens when you choose Print — set Scale to 100% or "Actual size." "Fit to page" adds a white margin and shrinks the text. - Match the orientation.
The print dialog has its own portrait/landscape setting; set it to match the sign so it isn't rotated or cropped. - Tape it up where it reads.
For a door or window, print two and put one facing each way.

Do I need an account?
No. There is no signup and no login — open the page and use it.
How large will the text be?
As large as fits. The tool shrinks the headline only as far as it must to keep the words on one to three lines within the page.
Does my data leave my browser?
No. The sign is built locally in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Once the page has loaded you can work offline.
