This place card maker turns your guest list into a print-ready PDF of folded tent cards — four per portrait US Letter sheet. Each card carries the guest's name on both halves: right-side up on the lower half that faces the guest, and rotated 180° on the upper half so that, once you fold the card in half, the name reads correctly on the reverse side for the person across the table. Add a comma after any name to print a table number or a second line under it. Long names shrink to fit and wrap, so a short first name and a long double-barrelled surname both stay inside the card.
How to make place cards in three steps

Why one half prints upside down
A tent card folds in half and stands like a little peak, so one side faces each direction. To make the name readable from both sides, the upper half of every card is printed rotated 180°. When you fold the card down along the center crease, that upper half swings over to the back and the name lands right-side up again — the two halves are mirror images across the fold, so a folded card looks identical from either side. It looks odd flat and correct folded; that's expected.

Printing & folding
Print at 100% / “actual size” on plain paper or light cardstock; cardstock stands up better. Turn on the faint cut guides if you'd like a boundary around each card to cut along. Cut the cards apart, then fold each along the faint horizontal crease down the middle. Score the fold first with the back of a knife for a crisper edge.

Do I need an account?

Why is the name upside down on one half?
Because the card folds in half. The upper half is printed rotated 180° so that after you fold it, the name reads right-side up on the reverse side too. Flat it looks upside down; folded it's correct.
Can I add a table number?
Yes. Put a comma after the name and type the table or any second line — “Ada Lovelace, Table 4”. It prints in smaller type under the name on both halves. Only the first comma splits the name from the second line.
Does my data leave my browser?
