Free hall pass template for classrooms

This makes a page of identical hall pass cards to print, cut, and keep by the door. Each card has your school name, a "HALL PASS" heading, and blank lines for the student's name, destination, time out, time in, and a teacher signature. Fill one in by hand each time a student leaves the room.

Six per page makes small passes for a jar by the door; four per page makes larger cards that are easier to read and harder to lose.

Using the tool

Type your school name, choose 4 or 6 cards per page, and click Download PDF. Print on plain paper or cardstock and cut along the card borders.

Printing and cutting

  1. Print at 100% scale.
In the print dialog — the window that opens when you choose Print — set Scale to 100% or "Actual size" so the cards keep their size.
  2. Use cardstock for passes that last.
Paper passes work for a day; cardstock survives a term in and out of pockets.
  3. Cut along the card borders.
A paper trimmer cuts a stack at once; scissors are fine for a page.
